Does anyone know of an easy-to-use FX box that I could hook up to my Behringer UB1204? It has a built-in processor, but apparently you have to have an FX unit hooked up to it. Thanks.

I believe I have the same mixer, but can't remember the exact number on it at this late hour with a nasty headache and ringing ears and a cold. Right now, the mixer is at my Church gig. I'll lok at it and send you a private message probably after Sunday. I had trouble getting it working, and in some ways, it isn't the most blind-friendly mixer/fx processor, but depending on what you want to do, you can make it work pretty well. Its a very very quiet mixer and has really clean sound for the money.

Darn right it does! I just think that you have to memorize the 100 built-in effects and then play with them. I just need something for the effects to go through. The internal processor can't work on its own. That's what I've heard.

Good morning. Can you please elaberate on what you mean by "effects to go through"? I have used the yorkville powered mixer for live sound and there was a send delegated to the effects processor. You should simply be able to turn up the master returns or whatever is delegated to the processor and send anythinkg to it and have it effected. It sounds like perhaps somethinkg in the manual isn't clear on how this is done but if a unit has an internal processor no external equipment should be required. I would really like to hear more about this. to qualify my thoughts I have participated in studio and live production as well as worked in broadcasting for 13 years. Thanks.

Willie, you're right. You have to have the FX send turned up and I believe there's a small pushbutton near it. You also have to have the control for the FX level up. Ride_Man, you can find this easily. I'm a little more coherent now than I was two days ago. Its the first rotary knob above the sliders. To activate the efects, there's a continuously turning knob on the right with several detents in the path of travel. You select the effect by turning the knob, and when you visualy see (or in our case think) you've got what you're looking for, you press in on the knob to activate the desired effect. Willie, glad you weighed in on this, because I've read some of your other posts, and I know you know what you're talking about. Your comments reminded me of some aspects of this discussion.
